Mery Tortolini is an Italian artist, painter, essayist and researcher. After studying law and journalism, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with a thesis in Aesthetics. Since 1999, she has collaborated with Sapienza University of Rome, where she has conducted experimental workshops exploring the relationship between image, writing and creative thought. She appeared in Massimo D’Orzi’s documentary Ombre di luce (2010), which also features her paintings. Her artistic and educational research focuses on visual language, imagination and the processes of creative expression
